Which part of the plan pays for this?
Specialist behaviour support usually sits under Improved Relationships in Capacity Building. Vocational assessment, vocational counselling and job seeking supports usually sit under Finding and Keeping a Job, with ongoing workplace support under Support in Employment in Core. If you're not sure what's in the plan, send the referral anyway and we'll check before anything starts.
Do you work with self-managed and plan-managed participants?
Yes. Self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed. Tell us which one on the referral form so we set the invoicing up correctly from day one.
How long does a behaviour support plan take?
An interim plan can be in place quickly when there's risk or a restrictive practice already in use. A comprehensive plan follows the assessment, which normally takes around 2 weeks of observation, interviews and record review. We'll give you a date at the first appointment.
Do you travel? What area do you cover?
We are a mobile service based in Baulkham Hills and come to you. Our face-to-face travel area covers The Hills, Blacktown, Parramatta and Cumberland, reaching as far as Blacktown and Mount Druitt to the west, Auburn to the south, and Ashfield to the east. Beyond that we offer telehealth. Travel is charged in line with the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and is always set out in your service agreement before we start.
Can I refer myself, or does it have to come from a coordinator?
Anyone can refer: participants, family members, support coordinators, LACs, schools, GPs and allied health. We just need the participant's consent before we start.
