Behaviour support that works in the real setting
Behaviour that gets called challenging is almost always communication. We spend time in the homes, classrooms and workplaces where it happens before we write anything down.
What's involved
Every referral starts with assessment, not assumptions. We observe in the settings where behaviour occurs, interview the people who know the participant best, and review existing reports and incident records before forming a view.
- Functional behaviour assessmentDirect observation, interviews with family, carers and support workers, and review of existing records to understand what the behaviour achieves for the person.
- Interim behaviour support planPut in place quickly where there is risk or a restrictive practice already in use, so the participant is not left unsupported while assessment continues.
- Comprehensive behaviour support planEvidence-informed strategies covering environmental changes, skill building, and responses to behaviour, written in plain language the implementing team can actually follow.
- Restrictive practice reductionIdentification, reporting and structured reduction of regulated restrictive practices in line with NDIS Commission requirements.
- Training and implementation supportCoaching for families, carers and support workers in the setting itself, plus review and reporting across the life of the plan.
Who we work with
We support participants of all ages living in family homes, supported independent living, and shared arrangements across Western Sydney and the Hills District. We work alongside schools, day programs, support coordinators, allied health teams and employers when the participant's goals reach into those settings.
We are often asked to help when a plan has been written but never really took hold. Rewriting the plan is sometimes the answer. More often the answer is spending time with the people who implement it, in the place where it has to work.

Support coordinators and plan managers often need our registration details before a service agreement is drawn up.

- A written plan you can hand to your teamStructured, specific, and free of jargon, so a new support worker can read it and know what to do.
- Training for the people implementing itDelivered in person where practical, because strategies rarely survive being emailed.
- Ongoing review and reportingRegular check-ins, plan reviews as circumstances change, and reporting that meets NDIS Commission obligations.
